With summer festivals upon us, there are opportunities for teens to consider taking unwise risks, including drinking alcohol.  In an informal survey of 148 area high schoolers (spring, 2010), 66% of the students who attended the GrassRoots festival used alcohol there. 

 

In July, a Sticker Shock campaign will remind the community: It’s Not Your Call-It’s the Law! It is illegal to buy or provide alcohol for anyone under 21.

 

Here are a few suggestions for helping your teen have a fun, safe summer experience:
