Household Medication Disposal Event

On Sept. 29, 438 people visited one of our collection sites to safely dispose of unneeded medications:

48 - Enfield

81 - Slaterville Springs

309 - Ithaca (TCAT site)

613.5 pounds of medications were collected, including 20,700 doses of controlled substances.  In addition, we were able to separate much of the paper and plastic packaging for recycling.  Thank you to the community, to our volunteers, and to businesses that supported this effort.

No date has been scheduled for another event. But visit one of our permanent medication drop boxes, available year round at a location near you, to get rid of medicines safely.  details
